The Benefits of Two Private Investigators Conducting Your Investigation in Ocean City Maryland

There are numerous benefits to hiring a Private Investigation firm that utilizes two investigators for your investigation. Many investigations require an extensive amount of surveillance. Physical surveillance on the person you need to gather information on can normally be classified as stationary or mobile. Stationary surveillance typically involves investigators sitting at a location either in a vehicle, at an establishment, or somewhere outside watching the movements of the subject being followed. Mobile surveillance is just that. When the target being followed goes out for a walk, a bike ride or utilizes a vehicle and goes mobile, investigators follow by whatever means necessary to maintain their observations on him or her. Oftentimes, surveillances begin with investigators sitting in their vehicles waiting for the target to leave home or work and enter his or her vehicle. The surveillance then goes mobile. From that point, the target is followed until they stop their vehicle and go on foot to a location or possibly meet with someone. This is typically why investigators are hired. The client wants to know what the target is doing and who they meet with when they are not together.

It's not difficult to understand that when multiple investigators are conducting any given surveillance, the more likely that surveillance will be successful in yielding results. Often in law enforcement, surveillance will be conducted using many investigators and many different types of vehicles. Government agencies have deep pockets when it comes to conducting criminal investigations and can spend whatever is necessary for success. Unfortunately, most private investigation budgets cannot support the use of multiple investigators driving, multiple different vehicles simultaneously. Therefore, private investigation firms are required to come up with alternative solutions for success with the monetary resources the client provides.

The failure rate of single-investigator surveillance can be very high. As a previous law enforcement investigator, Allen attempted many solo surveillances and knows how frequently they are unsuccessful. When the target was lost, there was no real concern because the investigator could always initiate surveillance at another time, without budgetary concern. That’s not the case in private investigations. Regardless of the type of investigation, it is always better to lose your target than to have them realize they are being followed. Once your target knows he or she is being followed, it's extremely difficult to continue with the investigation.

Surveillance in densely populated areas, such as inner cities or resort towns presents its issues. A single investigator conducting mobile surveillance on a target who decides to park their vehicle and go on foot to whatever destination they have planned creates a situation wherein the investigator is forced to do the same. Now that single investigator needs to find a parking space of their own and be able to maintain an eye on the target. As you can imagine, that’s almost an impossible task in a crowded resort town. At Integrity Investigations, we have the luxury of dropping one investigator off where the target exited his or her vehicle. That investigator can maintain a visual on the target while the other investigator parks the surveillance vehicle. Afterward, a quick phone call between the two allows the investigators to get back together and continue with the surveillance detail.

During their private investigative efforts, Allen and Gretchen have conducted surveillance on targets while they are at a bar or having dinner in a restaurant. The advantage of having a male/female team conducting surveillance for you in this setting cannot be overstated. A man and woman sitting together at a bar having a conversation are much less likely to draw suspicion from someone planning to get together with a person he or she knows they shouldn’t be with.

These scenarios are just a few that we bring to the attention of our prospective clients. The reality is that the number of potential scenarios is endless wherein a male and female investigative team can be more successful than one working alone.
